The 128i Convertible, which joins the new 1 Series Coupe going on sale in the spring of 2008, will be powered by BMW's 3.0-liter, 230 horsepower inline six-cylinder engine generating 200 lb-ft of torque.

The first official word on the 2008 BMW 128i convertible was announced on September 30, 2007. BMW USA issued a press release inicating that the 128i converible will be available in the Spring of 2008.
